I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in Argentex Mining Corporation (OTCBB: AGXM) and to let you know more about our company and its focus on Argentina’s emerging mineral-rich Patagonia region.

Argentex is a junior exploration firm with rights to over 377,490 acres (152,766 hectares) of highly prospective land in the Argentine provinces of Santa Cruz and Rio Negro. In Santa Cruz, we hold mineral rights to 13 properties totaling some 200,780 acres (81,947 hectares), while in Rio Negro, our 18 properties cover approximately 175,000 acres (70,819 hectares).

The results of our exploration work over the past three years have been significant and are driving us to turn our expertise in Patagonia into positive results in the ground. Our flagship Pinguino property in Santa Cruz is our most advanced in terms of exploration and drilling – we believe we have one of the province’s largest under-explored epithermal silver-gold systems and have documented approximately 36 miles (58 kilometers) of veins. Also at Pinguino, the company has revealed a new zinc-lead-copper vein massive sulphide discovery with large intervals of significant base metals, precious metals and indium values. We have the unique opportunity of pursuing gold, silver and base metals discoveries within a single property in Argentina’s most mining-friendly province.

Argentina is a new frontier in mineral exploration and mining, with companies like Argentex and local residents working together for the benefit of the company and the community. AngloGold Ashanti’s Cerro Vanguardia gold-silver mine, located approximately 21 miles (35 kilometers) from our Pinguino property,is an excellent example.The neighboring town of Puerto San Julian provides the majority of the mine’s labor force and AngloGold-Ashanti’s Argentine subsidiary maintains a local operations office, purchasing supplies and services and contributing to charitable causes. The people of Puerto San Julian have one of the highest standards of living in the province of Santa Cruz due to the positive influence of Cerro Vanguardia.

In our own exploration work in Santa Cruz province, we employ mining students from the local university in Puerto San Julian, giving them the opportunity to gain experience that they can carry forward as they grow with our company. As well, we benefit from using local workers who have well-developed business and supplier networks within the community. Exploration and mining companies that thrive and expand are the ones that place an equal importance on community building because, in Argentina, one cannot happen without the other.

To date, Argentex has made excellent progress and significant discoveries in Patagonia. I fully expect for us to continue along this path – developing prospects with our expertise, adding shareholder value and taking calculated and educated geological risks in an effort to make the big discovery that we all hope to find.
