Toronto, ON, April 27, 2004 – Argentex Mining Corporation (OTCBB: AGXM) today announced that it has raised a total of US$2-million as part of the private placement announced in a press release on March 4, 2004. The proceeds are sufficient to fund the company’s Phase 1 exploration program, which includes both geochemistry and geophysical programs on the company’s properties in Santa Cruz and Rio Negro, Argentina and drilling in late 2004 on targets delineated by the Phase 1 program. Portions of the funding will also be used for general working capital and other corporate purposes.
